Verdun Altar in Klosterneuburg Abbey

FACSIMILE

On behalf of the Abbey of Klosterneuburg, we have produced a small number of prints of ten panels of the Verdun Altar. The prints were fitted with passepartouts, which were adapted precisely to the shape of the panels.

The so-called Verdun Altar is one of the most important examples of medieval goldsmith art. It was manufactured by Nicholas of Verdun around 1180, and is located in Klosterneuburg Abbey in Lower Austria.
